Designed by my friends at Volume Inc. in San Francisco, I researched, wrote, and project managed the publication by Chronicle Books of first biography of Heath Ceramics, a storied mid-century ceramics company based in Sausalito, California. The raw book board cover reflects the raw nature of clay, the ink varnishes imitate glazes, and the product and factory photos communicate the complexity involved in making dinnerware and accessories that looks so simple.
